The composition is built around blue tones enriched with yellow accents, creating a quiet dialogue between movement and stillness.

Designed as a statement piece, this large painting becomes a focal point on large walls and contemporary interiors.

Curatorial Note / Museum Essay (for Collectors and Interior Designers)
B047 — Sunflowers

B047 — Sunflowers — is a large-scale palette knife painting defined by chromatic depth and sculptural texture. Set against an expansive blue field, the composition centers on nine sunflowers arranged in a vase, their presence both grounded and radiant.

Executed with a palette knife, the surface carries pronounced impasto — ridges of paint that capture and refract light. The tactile quality gives the petals dimensional vitality, contrasting with the smoother atmospheric transition behind them. The background unfolds as a circular gradient: luminous and pale at the center, gradually deepening into saturated blue toward the edges. This subtle halo evokes the sensation of light at the end of a tunnel — an opening, a quiet emergence.

The number nine introduces symbolic resonance. Often associated with completeness and fulfillment, it reinforces the painting’s quiet optimism. The sunflowers themselves, long emblematic of vitality, loyalty, and warmth, appear here not in rustic fields but in a contemplative, almost metaphysical space. Suspended between still life and abstraction, they become vessels of light.

The dominant blue establishes emotional depth — a color of reflection, infinity, and calm — while the golden yellows pulse forward with life. This chromatic dialogue between cool immersion and warm luminosity creates a balanced visual rhythm.

For collectors, B047 offers both presence and atmosphere. Its scale allows it to function as a focal point in living rooms, dining areas, or gallery-inspired interiors. The impasto texture ensures the work evolves throughout the day as light interacts with its surface.

For interior designers, the painting integrates beautifully into:

  • contemporary and minimalist interiors

  • spaces dominated by neutral or cool palettes

  • architectural settings seeking a luminous accent

  • refined residential or hospitality environments

B047 — Sunflowers — is more than a floral still life. It is a meditation on light emerging from depth, on warmth held within vastness — a radiant field where texture, color, and symbolic fullness converge.
