Every custom artwork begins with a conversation — an idea, a space, a feeling that cannot be found in ready-made pieces. The journey of Abstract Painting A1456 started exactly this way: from a collector’s request for a long statement piece rooted in an existing composition A244. "However, regarding the color scheme, we request that the work be executed in as "light" a shade as possible, with a nuance towards "steel blue"."

This diptych (2 panels, each 50 × 100 x 2 cm) was developed as a continuous visual field, where both parts remain independent yet inseparably connected through structure and rhythm. The surface evokes the presence of steel — not as a literal material, but as an atmosphere: restrained, powerful, and quietly reflective.

Running across both panels, the gold line serves as a unifying element. It introduces a sense of direction and continuity, while also creating a subtle tension between stability and movement. Depending on the light, this line shifts from a calm accent into a more pronounced presence, allowing the work to transform throughout the day.

The horizontal format emphasizes spatial clarity, making the piece particularly responsive to architectural environments. At the same time, the diptych structure allows for flexibility in installation — the distance between the panels can be adjusted to interact with the surrounding space.

Throughout the process, special attention was given to balance:
between texture and openness,
between materiality and light,
between strength and stillness.

Abstract A1456 is not only a visual composition, but a spatial experience — a work that unfolds gradually and reveals different qualities over time.
