The imagery of apple trees echoes the artwork’s focus on delicate beauty and transience — a core principle of Japanese visual culture.

The composition is built around bronze and red tones enriched with subtle black accents, creating a quiet dialogue between movement and stillness.

Inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics and seasonal symbolism, the artwork reflects themes of connection, intimacy, and the fleeting nature of beauty. The layered surface and glossy finish allow the painting to change subtly with light, revealing new details from different angles.

Designed as a statement piece, this large bronze painting becomes a focal point on large walls and contemporary interiors.

J423 – Bronze Autumn Branch

In J423, Ksavera presents a commanding composition where strength, seasonality, and symbolism converge. Against a deep bronze field — warm, metallic, and atmospheric — an ancient apple tree branch stretches across the canvas. The branch is powerful and time-sculpted, bearing numerous ripe red apples that glow with quiet intensity.

The bronze background evokes earth, metal, and ritual fire — elements associated with transformation and the passage of time. The red apples, suspended like ceremonial lanterns, suggest abundance, maturity, and the culmination of cycles. The composition carries both gravity and luminosity, merging Eastern symbolism with contemporary monumental scale.

The spirit of the work resonates with the haiku:

秋たつや
何におどろく
陰陽師

Autumn arrives —
what astonishes
the onmyōji?

The reference to the onmyōji — a practitioner of ancient cosmological balance — introduces a subtle layer of duality and harmony between visible and invisible forces. The branch becomes more than botanical form; it transforms into a symbol of equilibrium between nature and spirit, matter and energy.

Executed on a large-format canvas, the artwork possesses architectural presence. It is designed to anchor expansive walls and refined interiors, particularly spaces where material richness, cultural depth, and statement scale are valued.
